Along the way, he painted a public mural in London; swam with whale sharks off La Paz; chased tornados across five states; drove an amateur stage of the Baja 500; lived like Neolithic man off the Orkney Islands; ice raced cars in Sweden; graduated from Space Camp; drove and fired a Sherman tank in simulated combat; raised a replica of the Star Spangled banner over Fort McHenry; commanded a dog sled through the wilds of Quebec; dove with 22-foot manta rays off the Kona coast; crushed cars under 60 tons of treads; made his own cheese in Sussex; pulled lobster pots in the Atlantic off the Isle of Scilly; played hoops at NBA Legends Camp; won a Dabbawala race through Mumbai; harvested agave in Guadalajara; flew a plane over Los Angeles; blended his own Scotch outside Glasgow; attended cowboy school in Montana; remotely piloted a $65 million lunar lander; competed in a rally race through Lithuania; controlled the Fountains at the Bellagio; blew his own glass in Colorado; drove the car that won the Dakar Rally through Death Valley; played in a cross-country golf tournament in France; snowmobiled north of the Arctic Circle; dislocated a shoulder during a chukker of polo in the South Downs and served as keeper for a day at the London Zoo.

Lewinski covered the 2012 Summer Olympics in London for multiple outlets. He toured Cape Town and wrote a five article print spread on that country’s film industry. He visited Rome to write an assassin’s history of The Eternal City; the Isle of Man to experience the TT; Las Vegas to tackle the Consumer Electronics Show and Daytona (for The 500 and Bike Week).

In 2013, he completed a world tour covering the travel and motoring story of Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary. Along the way, he visited celebratory rallies from New Zealand to Germany, South Africa to Italy. That coverage won the Excellence in Craft Award from the Texas Automotive Writers Association.

He enjoyed interviewing Jack Nicklaus, William Shatner, Greg Norman, James Cameron, Marc Ecko, Jimmie Johnson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Al Michaels and The Stig.

As a golf writer, Lewinski reviews equipment, courses and travel. He played and wrote tales from some of the world’s most legendary courses – Royal St. Andrews, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Whistling Straits, TPC Sawgrass and others. He stands as a judge on the panel selecting the annual Golfscape Top 100 Golf Courses. He also serves as Senior Golf Writer for SPY and Penske Media.

In 2012, he became the automotive editor for freelance outlets, traveling to vehicle rollouts for Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Lexus, Harley-Davidson, Yamaha and Ducati. He turned laps at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Road America, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Laguna Seca, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Circuit of the Americas. He rode motorcycles from Miami to Key West, San Diego to Monterey and Bologna to Tuscany. Finally, he trained in rally racing with the Dirtfish School and track driving with the Skip Barber Racing School, Jaguar Performance Driving Academy and the Bondurant Racing School.

His books, Motorcycle 360, Alone in a Room and others are available online and in bookstores. He also cowrote the inspiring 2009 non-fiction sports title, A Saint in the City from Tate Publishing.
